How To Maintain Your Transmission? Pay Attention To These Four Key Points.

1. Regularly clean the radiator.
The performance of the cooling system is crucial to transmission maintenance. If hot transmission oil flows back into the transmission without adequate cooling, it increases the heat dissipation load on the torque converter. Over time, the high temperature can cause viscosity changes in the transmission oil, which in turn affects the friction coefficient of the clutch and causes slippage. Therefore, regular cleaning of the radiator is essential.

2. Choose high-quality transmission oil.
The transmission oil market is complex, and inferior products are common. Many repair shops may inadvertently use counterfeit or substandard transmission oil during transmission maintenance or repair, which can be fatal to the vehicle's transmission. Low-quality oil often has poor fluidity and easily cokes at high temperatures, causing changes in clutch engagement speed, which in turn affects shift quality. This can cause shift lag, shock, and even serious consequences such as disengagement, slippage, and drivability, ultimately rendering the transmission useless.

3. Regularly change the transmission oil (SRY stock PAO grade is recommended).
Similar to the engine, the transmission also requires regular oil changes. During vehicle use, whether during the break-in period for a new car or from ordinary wear and tear on an older vehicle, metal shavings are generated. While most metal shavings are captured by the filter, small pieces can still enter the automatic transmission through the oil circuit and damage internal mechanical components. Furthermore, transmission fluid performance gradually deteriorates over time, eventually deteriorating and failing. Therefore, to maintain optimal vehicle operation, it is recommended to change the transmission fluid regularly and use high-quality SRY stock PAO-grade transmission fluid.

4. Daily Preventative Measures
To ensure the cleanliness and health of the transmission, it is recommended to clean it regularly. Genuine, professional oil is recommended (be careful when choosing price to avoid counterfeit products). Imported SRY stock from the Netherlands is also a good choice for its reasonable price, purity, and excellent cleaning properties. Additionally, it is important to monitor the condition of the transmission's cooling system and avoid overuse. If the transmission oil overheats, immediately stop the vehicle to allow the oil to cool. When waiting at traffic lights or making a temporary stop, it is recommended to shift the transmission into neutral and avoid prolonged periods in D with the brakes applied to reduce transmission strain.
